Meknes and Volubilis day trip from Fes
This private Fes to Volubilis day trip is a cultural journey through one of Morocco’s most historic routes. The excursion combines Meknes, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismail, the sacred town of Moulay Idriss, and the Roman archaeological site of Volubilis.
Meknes is known for its grand gates, old walls, royal heritage, and monuments such as Bab Mansour, Place El Hedim, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, Sahrij Swani, and the Royal Stables area. It offers a quieter but very rich imperial city experience compared with Fes and Marrakech.
After Meknes, continue to Moulay Idriss for a short visit and panoramic views before reaching Volubilis. The Roman ruins are famous for ancient columns, temples, arches, and floor mosaics. After the visit, return to Fes in the late afternoon.
